You know, I bet like 73% of blog posts start off with some statement about how the blogger doesn't blog enough on his/her blog. Bob Loblaw's Law Blog.
Life has been pretty good. Again, what with doing activities, I'm kind of busier now than I've ever been in my life. This is a strange happening. I'm learning how to be busy and how to be productive and when to say no. VERY SLOWLY. AND VERY PAINFULLY.
But I have a full life and that's awesome. And the radio bit is drawing to a close, so I can stop wanting to something, something cheese grater every Sunday night when staring down the barrel of writing another 15 minute speech. WICKED VALUABLE EXPERIENCE, however. Grateful that the GFN [ http://www.gfn.or.kr/ ] staff put up with me and that I got to learn so much about Korean art. Obviously I can learn about Korean art any time I want to, but this is all much more likely to happen when I've got an assignment. And I think I'll be more likely to go check stuff out in the future.
Ha, found out today that my co-teacher is coming to inspect my apartment personally in August. Along with some Naju city in-charge-of-all-the-foreigners lady. What to do about that mural in my studio...hmm...I wonder if I can cut that section of the wallpaper free and keep it like canvas. Then pay some dude to just re-wallpaper the room.
The rainy season has officially started. Hasn't rained much yet but it's going to. For like a month. And my town is likely to flood a lot.
I care about World Cup Soccer now. Because Korean people are so damn jazzed about it. I'm not even sure it airs on basic cable at home. Like I've said before, I like baseball here and think it's boring as ( a chapter in your high school English book about how to run a formal meeting in a second language ) at home. Because Korean people cheer for EVERYTHING at the game. It's awesome sauce.
This sums up pretty well the awesomeness of South Korean sports fans...
Korea's next World Cup game is tomorrow against Uruguay. Uruguay has yet to give up a single goal in the playoffs....this could be tricky. TAE~~HAN MIN GUK!
I think I'm pretty glad vacation is fast approaching. And it's almost been a year since I've been home. That's weird. I've just noticed that the students and I are markedly more comfortable with each other. That's really nice. Ok, time to post some pretty pictures and then run off to bed.

(4/5 of) My Adopted Korean Family!
I've talked about Sujin/Susan before. We have "private lessons" once a week (she comes over and we talk about something) and as "payment," she invites me to do stuff with her family. Sujin is funny, kind, and pretty much a shining beam of goodness and light. Her kids are so many fun and her husband is ADORABLE. They live relatively traditionally and show me really cool Korean stuff all the time. It's THE BEST.
