In other news, still unemployed (woo!) but doing a spot of* temp work when things come up. I just finished a week of "auditing" at the local university. I walked around the biology department and counted how many people were in each room once every hour. It took 15 minutes each round, so I used the rest of the hour to read about feminism or lizard-fighting robots, drink coffee, draw seahorses, or have chats with the other auditors.
*Do I talk that that? I can't tell.
Also, I accidentally ruined my life via the Internet. I didn't know that Human Centipede was a movie; I just thought it was a premise made up for the South Park episode. If YOU don't know what the movie is about 1. You are lucky and I hate you and 2. DO NOT look it up. It's really ok to not have certain things in your brain. It disturbed me profoundly and I've been too scared to go upstairs by myself at night since. Lizzie asked me what I was scared of and I said, "Germans" (in hindsight, I should have said "the Dutch" because this is all that shitty director's fault).
I've got an interview at Wagamama's on Wednesday. I don't know if it's going to work logistically because of the location and also we're moving to West London soon, but hey.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, Lizzie scored a grown-up job in Slough! Which is why we're moving to West London! Because Slough is hella grim! We're gonna go look at apartments down there on Thursday and hopefully I'll get a grown-up job soon, too. I've been applying to be a special needs teaching assistant and I'm getting really excited about it.
The goal is to work 60+ hours/wk for the next year or two, pay back on my loans, and save up the £6000 for my Masters. Woo!
Ok, that's all the updates. Time to make breakfast for dinner and take a little nap. But not a big one because I don't want to be sleepy at LIZZIE'S GRADUATION FROM CAMBRIDGE TOMORROW! YEAH!
