Uxbridge (where we live) is the furthest point west on the tube, but it's still London and as I sat on the train whizzing past giant houses on excellent public transportation that I can access literally around the corner from where I live, I felt so excited. I was not excited when it was London's fault that we pay £750/mo. to live in a flat above Poundland but our income is also weighted because of our proximity to the capital.
And just to say, "Welcome to London," a man in a car sexually harassed me on the street right after my job interview. (Don't worry. I quickly caught up with some people at a crosswalk and got on the phone until I was back at the tube station and was ok.)
Oh, London. What the hell.
